The collection consists of: a Simplex document folder with 22 transparent glassine paper sheets titled 'New York' (upper margin) with 80 strips of film negatives (4 x 3.5 cm.) and 36 strips of film negatives 5.5 x 5.5 cm., with contact prints; 12 negatives (5.5 x 5.5 cm.) in titled glassine sheets of the Wellington hotel and contact prints; and 29 photo negatives (5.5 x 5.5 cm.) showing Andy Warhol in 3 sheets titled 'Andy Warhol' and 18 contact prints; 46 negatives (5.5 x 5.5 cm.) in titled glassine sheets showing Claes Oldenburg and contact prints; 21 negatives (5.5 x 5.5 cm.) in titled glassine sheets showing Jan Cremer in the Chelsea Hotel a.o.; 11 negatives (5.5 x 5.5 cm.) in titled glassine sheets showing Roy Lichtenstein; 12 negatives (5.5 x 5.5 cm.) in titled glassine sheets showing ; 12 negatives (5.5 x 5.5 cm.) in titled glassine sheets showing Arman; 12 negatives (5.5 x 5.5 cm.) in titled glassine sheets and contact prints concerning the architect and industrial designer Jaap Penraat who designed a Dutch mill cafe for the 1964 New York World's Fair and saved more than 400 Jews from the Nazis in the Netherlands. Except for random snapshots of the city, the Chelsea Hotel and the subway, the film strips in the New York section contain Vroom's coverage of a Pop Art exhibition at the Sidney Janis Gallery, showing artworks by the artists cited as well as Back Seat Dodge '38 by Edward Kienholz. Added: original envelope of the Roy Lichtenstein Foundation, New York, dated 2002 addressed to Mr. Jean Paul Vroom Amsterdam and 1 printed photo of a standing Warhol with sunglasses talking on the phone, printed later on 3 different types of photo paper and different dimensions (18 x 18 cm. - 27.5 x 27.5 cm.).
